£400-£500 laptop ideas.

I got a bunch of birthday money and im looking for a new laptop which will run minecraft at 90-120 fps. Im definitely looking for a laptop rather than a desktop. If you can find any thing which might fit my description please link it below

Ok, well you can always use some tips from the replies there. Captain had a setup that was just a bit over your price range that got really good FPS, but it was a desktop.

First of all,

Why would you want a laptop as opposed to a desktop? I know that there is that portable factor, but unless your parents are divorced and you move from house to house, I really don't think a laptop is necessary.

Also, laptops are not great at all for gaming. Something in your price range is like my laptop: great for school work and watching videos, but not so good for gaming. Laptops themselves just aren't built for gaming like a desktop is.

Plus, for the price you could get so much more for your money by going with a custom built PC.

I'll list some plusses and minuses for both desktops and laptops in this situation:

Gaming Desktop +s:

• They are totally customizable and you 100% know what is in your computer.
• You can switch out parts for newer parts when they come up: upgrading is easy.
• Better bang for your buck- much better than a laptop at the same price.
• You can choose your screen size.
• You can choose your keyboard.
• Everything is easy.

Gaming Desktop -s:

• Desktops cannot be moved easily at all.

Gaming Laptop +s:

• Portable.
• You don't have to put it together.

Gaming Laptop -s:

• You can't choose what's in your laptop.
• Once you buy it, you are stuck with what you have.
• Not as good quality as a desktop.
• You get less for the prices you pay.

To summarize, I strongly suggest you get a desktop instead of a laptop. If you decide to, then I can help you find some parts!
