First of all,
Why would you want a as opposed to a desktop? I know that there is that portable factor, but unless your parents are much topicd and you move from house to house, I really don't think a laptop is necessary.
Also, laptops are not great at all for gaming. Something in your price range is like my laptop: great for school work and watching videos, but not so good for gaming. Laptops themselves just aren't built for gaming like a desktop is.
Plus, for the price you could get
so much more for your money by going with a custom built PC.
I'll list some plusses and minuses for both desktops and laptops in this situation:
Gaming Desktop +s:
- They are totally customizable and you 100% know what is in your computer.
- You can switch out parts for newer parts when they come up: upgrading is easy.
- Better bang for your buck- much better than a laptop at the same price.
- You can choose your screen size.
- You can choose your keyboard.
- Everything is easy.
Gaming Desktop -s:
- Desktops cannot be moved easily at all.
Gaming Laptop +s:
- Portable.
- You don't have to put it together.
Gaming Laptop -s:
- You can't choose what's in your laptop.
- Once you buy it, you are stuck with what you have.
- Not as good quality as a desktop.
- You get less for the prices you pay.
To summarize, I strongly suggest you get a desktop instead of a laptop. If you decide to, then I can help you find some parts!
