Out of curiosity, what's overclocking? I keep hearing that, and google didn't work for me ;/

So Intel and AMD ship their CPUs set at what they believe to be the optimal and safest speed that it can handle on a basic CPU cooler. If you buy a CPU with an unlocked multiplier, you can set the speed to be whatever you want, you just have to make sure you can deliver enough power to the CPU and cool it effectively.

I have no plans on overclocking anything. I'll edit the designs to incorporate your suggestions.

The case is stupidly overpriced, it needs to be priced in important with other parts, if it's a 1000 dollars build, don't get a 170 dollars case, instead get like a 80 dollars case.

I don't like SLI, but meh, two 670's is better than a lot of cards. I would personally get a 780TI, it's not a complete build, so with the 780ti, I would get a 650 Watt, 80+ Bronze, never save money on generic PSU's, that's really stupid.

Well I love it, but I do understand why people don't like it. Windows has been relatively the same for a while, so not only is the change kinda ridiculous, the initial impressions weren't great because of how hard it was to use with a mouse, which Windows 8.1 fixed quite a bit of.
Besides that Microsoft did a lot of other dumb things on the side, like get rid of Shadow Copy.

Anyways, it seems that most people that give it a chance like it. My dad was an XP guy and he really likes 8.

Here's what I came up with, I've heard this GPU does well on BF4 too. I would have chosen an AMD R9-290x, but those are crazy expensive.
The only downside with this list is it doesn't include that Keyboard you included, but I'd say just wait on that, because this is a pretty good build so there is no reason to nerf it just for a keyboard. If you still want it, I'd suggest just not buying the SSD, though it's worth keeping. It'll help speed up windows and games a bit, plus less issues if you record, because you'd be recording to a different drive than you're playing off of.

Ehhhh, alright. You can get similar performance for about 1000 dollars, but that'll be getting a FX-8350 and no SSD, the Ram is a bit overpriced, too. Never thought a SSD is justful to waste a bit of dollar on them.
If he plans on playing Mantle games, since Mantle is only for AMD cards, but that might change, I would get the 280x. Mantle lessens CPU Bottleneck, so meh, not needed.
2GB VRAM is fine for cards, you don't need 4GB.

Minecraft, as a Java game, doesn't support SLI/Crossfire. I would suggest to go for only one 760 or 770. Also, don't get an I7. If you're just gonna use your PC for gaming, get an I5, I7's are more for video editing/graphic designing purpuses. I know you said you're getting Windows 7, but still, Winows 8 = ew.

Buy a more Watt PSU if you plan on upgrading and plugging in other stuff to it, like chargers, yes I know it's final draft...

Yes, but MineCraft isn't a GPU intensive game, and a lot of people also play other games.

That last build that you posted looks pretty good to me, according to my friend a 770 will easily get you 120 FPS on Battlefield 4 with mostly Ultra setttings. You may want to consider a 120 hz monitor if you want to get the most out of your graphics card, but they do cost quite a bit more. A 60 hz one will work fine though. Another thing, if you want to save a bit of money, you could go with an i5 instead of an i7.

Btw, to all the people saying "ew windows 8 sux", its performance is actually quite a bit better than Windows 7, and with a simple program like Start8, you can hardly tell the difference. For example, just upgrading from Windows 8 to Windows 8.1 gave me a 5-10 frame boost in BF4, exact same settings.

I'm going to wait to get a 120 hz monitor. I'm completely fine with a 60 hz one until I can start making a bit more money. I'll keep the i7 because I feel that it will help me in the long run, more than the i5 will. Thanks for the advice though.

You know, that's actually very similar to what I decided when I built my computer back in May And no problem, glad to help.

Windows 8 is not "ew". Windows 8 is actually pretty good. Its boots up a lot faster than windows 7, when it comes to updates, it installs it while you are using your pc, not when you are shutting down. Its generally faster than 7.
The only flop I see in windows 8 is the "RT" version, aka "Windows 8 Lite" (or light, apps say lite, so yeah). Not being able to install .exe programs was a big mistake. Other than that, the desktop version is great.

Lively & Erisyuka Instead of buying a SSD AND a HDD, get a SSHD, Solid State Hybrid Drive. Its a mixture of both an SSD and HDD, its a lot faster and you get a lot of storage for the same price as a single SSD. 2TB is roughly $120.
