I bought mine after my friend (who had the cracked version) showed it to me. He made this dungeon type room where you had to get loot and kill ghasts. Looking back, it was pretty lame as far as custom dungeons/maps go, but at the time it was amazing. I bought the game with my own money (my dad used his credit card and I gave him the 27 dollars.) That was back when Minecraft was in beta 1.4 I believe.

First tried the creative free version, didn't care for it. Later I tried the survival test version and I really enjoyed it, so I ended up purchasing the full version after a few months.

(PS: Thread moved to "anything minecraft")

I think it was at least 1.1 in April 2012, I got it February 1 2012 and it was 1.1...

Edit: it was 1.2.

1337 H4X?
I don't remember what it was exactly, but basically it let you play offline mode while still keeping up-to-date with versions like 1.5.2, 1.6.4, etc. (Except it was during the first half and before 1.2.4, I bought Minecraft Premium around there.)

Got mine when a friend came round and showed it to me on his laptop. We spent like 2 hours running around with nothing in survival and after I decided I had to get it :D
When we got better we started playing SG together, me on my craptop and him on his beastly gaming pc.
That was probably like 2 years ago now..
