I consider myself a decent PvPer and want to take it to the next level. I need good tips for the fishing rod method and bows. I'm pretty good with the Sword and FnS. Also, if you could link me to a good tips and tricks vid, I would be very greatful!

A good way to up your skills in MCSG is to train. It could be on a different server, or you could start up your own server and practice with friends.

It doesn't have to even be on MC. I have very lighting quick reflexes, so I dominate in close PvP. I practice on an old game I used to play called AoS (or Ace of Spades Classic (you know, the one before Fagex bought it?)). I just have one stationary bot loaded with random spawns, and I on a flat map, and try to get large combos over and over again. I'd be happy to put one of my best videos up, but I'll need your permission so I'm not accused of adrvertising non-MCGamer content.

I find this player one of the best on MCSG. He is very skilled, and even at my level of pvp i learned a few new tricks from this video. Hope this helps.

Getting better means soloing. If you team, you're most likely going to let your teammate do all the work for you. If you solo, you can work by yourself, which allows you think more strategically. If you already solo, then the video provided to you should help you as well..

One tip I found that has helped me a lot is to join a game, and have your friend spectate you. Have your friend record the game, only focusing on your gameplay. Have him/her send you the video after, so you can see where you need to improve.

Try waiting until the other guy charges at you before you try a fishing-rod/Sword combo. If you go on someone who is walking backwards you'll likely fail to put up some combos. Also, another thing that has proved to work well once you master it, is putting the block behind someone on fire then quickly hitting with rod or sword or fist or whatever you want to use, making him fly into fire. Useful when trying to put pros on fire.

When bowing, attempt counting exactly where your target will be once your arrow hits him/her. Try to load your shots almost fully, half-loads prove to work well (I believe Huahwi was a guide for that too). Cheers.
