It's practice. Just like a sport you'd do, you aren't the best at first but then you progress and become better.

I've been on mcsg for over a year, have logged close to 2000 games, and I still can't win more than 10% of the time

Have you ever been playing, then looked at yourself, then thought 'What am I doing wrong?'
Because if you haven't, you honestly should. Look at how you're playing and what is wrong with it. It actually helps quite a lot if you take a step back.
