Better Sprint Mod has now been eliminated on our servers!

Better Sprint Mod is a game modification that allows you to do illegal game moves like running to the side or backwards. Vanilla clients cannot do this and reason why the mod is still banned.

It also gives alot of unfair advantages over clients. So why are you trying to defend using a hacked client anyways.

Just for the record Better Sprint only allows you to sprint backwards and sideways in single player.
The only two features BSM gives you over 1.7.2 is being able to toggle sneak (crouch) and the ability to have a fly boost while you're in creative/fly mode.
Two things that don't have any advantages in PvP.

You are able to sprint while in combat with 1.7.2 and you're able to run up blocks without losing your sprint.
Funnily enough 1.7.2 offers something that BSM doesn't which is the ability to activate sprint while in the air (jumping)
So some could view 1.7.2 as an advantage over BSM.

But anyways I digress. I consider this a good thing adding in this feature.
We all know the most controversial bans were always down to BSM. And now that there won't be any bans for BSM this can only be beneficial and halt all the unfair bans or just give a quick reminder to all the new players that BSM isn't wanted here.

Good move Devs/Chad for adding this in.

BSM is on the servers? People complain. The devs remove BSM from the servers? People complain. I don't understand the logic here.

Because many people can only play with 1.6 optifine, therefore they install 1.6 bsm so they don't lose the advantage to 1.7 users.

It is every single player's duty to check out the rules. If they did so, they would see that Better Sprint is not permitted. It is their own fault if they knowingly install a mod that is not permitted on our servers, and expect to get away with it.

For anyone under the impression that BSM and 1.7.2 are the same, I bring you a quote from BSM's creator (chylex):

"Many people have been asking what's gonna happen to Better Sprinting when 1.7 (1.6.3?) comes out, and honestly I don't see why - the mod adds a whole bunch of features to the sprinting system 1.7 still won't have, like ability to disable double-tapping W, toggle keys or the popular flying boost."

I dont see why we continue care about BSM is exactly the same as 1.7.2 sprint.. Wouldnt it be better to work on detecting all the regan hackers out there? And yes it is a lot of them..

Yes it has, MooMan came back and has been assigned to work on MCTF2, while the others work on other issues.

Given the mod it's self literally sends the server the message "bsprint" or something of the sort, and BSM being the only thing that sends out such message to the server, it's impossible to be kicked without BSM installed.

My god,you devs/chad/staff members.You should actually play with bsm for a month and get to know why it's better then 1.7.2, when using bsm you can only sprint forward in multiplayer, in SINGLEPLAYER, you can sprint backwards and fly boost.THAT'S IT. When you use 1.7.2 you know you can literally hit your sprint button and it will allow you to sprint in the water without having to go to the bottom of the ocean floor and touching it and double tapping/hitting your sprint button. BSM literally is 1.7.2 without the advantages. You guys are legit idiots when it comes to this kind of stuff.
