Hello + Brother's stupidity

Hello everyone on these forums.

My name is Josh, my forum name is KingFlight and my in-game name is sirrossico.

This is my first time visiting these forums and I have to say, it is very easy to navigate. The design (theme) is cute and the sectioning is clean and easy.

Unfortunately, I do not come here in happy circumstances. I have been asked to inform everyone about my brother, Lindsay. You may know him as hwracer.

I am 2 years and 4 hour's older than my brother. I was born 7/10/96 and he was born 7/10/98. We are in no way alike except for gaming and he's a big pain in the arse, as you would know.

Hwracer was banned for hacking for one year and a half. He was banned from in-game immediately and on the forums shortly after. He had no way of communication except for teamspeak, where he looked around and got told he needed to contact chad. After asking chad why he was banned from the forums, he got sent this:
You admitted to hacking for over a year...you think that would get you
into trouble with our staff by mocking us that we didn't catch you for
so long? Ban stays and we do have a lot of active old players that
still play here as we see the login history for everyone.

I, personally, would be satisfied with this response, but it wasn't the answer he was looking for..
He started nagging me about it so now I'm here trying to fix it so I can study for exams.

He want to know why he got banned on the forums. He did nothing wrong on the website to my knowledge. Is it a new thing that if you get permabanned, your forum account get's deleted? He doesn't care about in-game.

Staff, you can contact him directly at [email protected] to answer him. If anyone else has a message for him, e-mail him. I'm not going to be a messenger between online strangers and him.

I don't know if he mocked us, when I read thread I perceived it as being critical, you know, maybe telling us to get our act together a little bit more and look for the fine details? You know, get some others mods to watch AU whilst the AU mods are alseep or something, I don't know, I didn't think it was mocking, but then again, I could be wrong :/

Hey Josh, I'm glad you like the forums. I hope you like it here and stay around.

I read about your brothers situation a few days ago and I was completely shocked at what I saw, I was friends with him a long time ago and this news saddened me deeply. A friend of mine lied to me and kept some pretty big things from me, which is something I don't like to see. However I admire how he grew the courage to admit his mistakes. But he could of gone about it another way, there was no need for lots of his concluding post. The insult towards the staff team and how they're not doing a good job wasn't necessary at all. Although with that being said, he did bring up a very important point, the inactivity and lack of (specifically AU) staff. But that has been resolved and most of his time was a long time ago where this was an issue. Every week I see new AU staff getting hired, funnily enough 2 more were hired today. These problems of the past are behind us and that is a reason why he got caught. Even though it may have been on survival and not on an AU MCSG server, he was caught breaking the rules because the staff team at MCSG grows bigger and better over time.

The fact he was banned from the servers, I think that is completely fair. He broke the rules for over 1 and a 1/2 years, and as an active member of this community, he was fully aware of his actions and the consequences that would follow after being caught. The ban from the forums, I'm not so sure about, he mocked staff and it seemed to be he was proud of his feat not be caught for so long. He was in the wrong there and if the staff believe that is enough for him to be banned from the forums then I agree with them.

The staff team are here to make MCSG better for us, the players. But when your brother tries to ruin that experience for others, even if he believes it was just a way to make it better for him, consequences must be dealt out. They deserve to be treated with the respect they deserve, not how your brother treated them.

How would you know how to use forums in such an etiquette way?? saying snip to make it smaller. Not many newbies do that..

I have been active on many Xenforo forums over the years. It is the same general design and format. Let's not start a heated discussion here...
