Hey Everyone, ive been seeing a lot of "My MCSG Story" threads around, and a bunch of people have been asking me to do mine, so here it is.
Time-travel back to 2012, i dont remember the date but it was a little bit after beta ended. I had just finished reading the hunger games book, but i hadnt seen the movie. (which i saw about a week after i joined these servers. I was really a COD player for a while, because i didnt really have any other a game which i could connect to other people whilst doing the thing i love the most. gaming. So that was the majority of my sophmore year.
Anywaaaaaays, i got on MCSG looking for a way to kill time. I first started on US, but i noticed there were a lot of little kids, people swearing, hackers etc. so i moved on to EU. the first server that was open (i was using the website at the time to find servers) was Eu22.
I join, it had to be 4th or 5th MCSG game. There i found someone who would pretty much change my take on MCSG forever. his name was K2skier. Now, back then, K2 was also new to these servers, he had only played for a week or so. To me, K2 was the equivalent to Elgoldo. (i was a nub) So after he wrecked me for a few games. i asked him to team with me. he denied me at first, then i kept asking and asking and asking, and he finally agreed. We were a good team for the next few weeks. we had each one about 20 games each within that timespan, but it was hard to talk to each other, because K2 didnt have skype, which i convince him to get a little later on.
Now im going to skip a little part of the story because it isnt that interesting so heres a quick summary of it:
I met girl named Skettched.
She couldnt pronounce my name.
She noticed the DQ.
Called me Dairy Queen.
The name stuck.
Im Dairy Queen.
So. K2skier and I, kicking ass and taking names. We even found blamph once, but it wasnt on eu, and it was before he got big on the leaderboards or youtube. Then we met cctlcats. Now, cctlcats was also a nub, just like me and K2. (Still to this day) I dont know why i wanted her skype so bad, but i kinda begged for a bit, then she finally told it to me. She got to know K2 pretty well, then it was just the 3 of us. And it would be like that for many months to come.
Then one day, While cctlcats and K2skier we're offline, or doing whatever, I decided to go solo on MCSG. Remember - Back then i was really bad, so getting to DM was a pretty great feat. I join Eu18 again, and to my surprise, i see HyruleKid (A Moderator) was in the lobby. Game starts. SG3. i have no idea what im doing, but somehow i make it to Deathmatch. Hyrule wasnt doing so great i saw, so we teamed up to take out this one stacked kid, and i ended up with two diamond swords. I made the game fair, giving him iron armor and a dia sword, but he beat me.
Afterwards, he joined the same lobby, and told me he liked the way i played. So he added me on skype, and we didnt talk until the next day.
On skype, he told me to download teamspeak, so i can play with him and friends, so i did. Upon joining, he moved me and i was introduced to none other than Creepy_Crawler. Creepy wasnt a mod yet, to my knowledge, he was too young too even apply at the time. But he would talk about how it would be cool to be one some day (look at him now
). The days passed by, and me Creepy and Hyrule would play SG, with K2 and cctlcats nowhere to be found. Then, about a week after our initial meet up, Creepy asked if he could invite one of his friends, we said sure. Enter Theoretical. Now at first, i was a bit skeptical about having Theo around, considering he sounded like a 12 year old (love you theo), but eventually i got to know him better, and found he was a pretty cool dude. (and was like #5 on the leaderboards, gg). Then K2 came back one mysterious evening, and i dont remember too well, but i think he knew theo, but not creepy. So the 4 of us played together a TON, we even made an SG map, one that i still have the save to, but will never upload. <3
Theeeeeen, Theo introduced to me BlazeMaster, who in turn, introduced me possibly my greatest friend on MCSG to date. ManOfTheBread. Breadman is pretty much the reason i am where i am on the leaderboards, i have as many friends as i do, and the funniest thing, hes the reason im a moderator on these servers.
One day (after i came back from quitting mcsg), me and Bread played a game, he was already a moderator, and had been for about 6 months. Here was our conversation.
Me: Hey bread, how many votes do mods get?
Bread: Like 2.
Me: *silence*
Bread: *silence*
Me: Im gonna go apply for Mod.
After i got accepted, i actually got serious about it, and i being apart of this community, and helping this community be safe for new players, and existing ones.
Cctlcats would be apart of this story more, but she wasnt really big on playing with too many people, or people she didnt know, whatever the reason, she stopped playing with us when we met theo and creepy (well she talked to us a bunch on skype, and played with K2, considering he taught her how to PVP).
Fast forward about a month. K2 loves points. theres nothing else he wanted out of MCSG. Eventually, i got waaaaaaaaay better then him at PVP, and i would bounty 3-4000 points at a time, and he got really upset, and he stopped talking to me for a while. Stupid reason i know, but we got into a lot of fights for no reason. Especially since he had this mad obsession with destroying eshancowee and I_Iz_So_Kool, who both have left MCSG, at least im sure one of them has.
After a while, i got sick of MCSG. I left for about 6 months. partly because of my crappy laptop (The Craptop) and because i still sucked really bad.
I came back when summer started of this year, (actually it was a bit earlier, but idk the date) and i decided to become moderator (You already read the story about that earlier). And thats it, My MCSG story, im ending it here because i have Psychology homework to do, and its kinda due tomorrow.
I left about a bunch of details cause im a crappy story teller, and im pretty sure the comments should prove that. idk. we'll see how it goes.
