The humble beginnings to what I believe could be an epic map...

This idea was inspired by Supernatual (http://www.cwtv.com/shows/supernatural). The terraforming is loosely based around this beautiful, yet gloomy, depiction of a place in Dante's Purgatorio (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Purgatorio):

Buildings will be added, but right now I want to get the terraforming down. I want the landscape to be hauntingly beautiful, as "Purgatory" is depicted in the above picture.

It's funny you are doing this off of Dante's Purgatorio. I am currently reading a book called Inferno and it revolves around Dante's Inferno and references him a lot. This looks really interesting. I hope it ends up well!

I just read a book that referenced the Divine Comedy by Dante frequently, which got me interested. Thanks for the feedback

The terraforming is too smooth I say, it would look much better if you went back over it in Voxel Sniper to make it seem more realistic and more like the pic you showed. Other than that it looks fine and wish you god luck with this project .

Mods always have good feedback Anyways, that sounds like a great idea; I could probably do that with randomerode and melt brushes, and then touch it up.
