Hello! My name is hobo , hobob , hoob and hobobby.
I am the creator of the HoboStick , and allot of people think it originated on Rugged Lands.
This is not true! I am going to explain the origins of the hobostick from the very beginning.
It all started on a server called FearCraft
It was me , rainbowbutterfly and bossy149. We all know eachother IRL and we used to play survival together. We went from server to server , doing all sorts of shenanigans. Me and rainbow where sort of like evil geniuses. We always found loopholes around the rules and used dirty-tactics to get us geared up , all without getting banned. Me and rainbow would always gang up on bossy and pull various traps on him. There are too many to name as he is very gullible , but they range from "Free Cake" buttons , Random holes in his mine , Ores that when you mine them you fall into a pit of fire to turning his house into a swamp.
Then , after getting banned from previous servers , usually to do with us outsmarting the owners/admins , we found FearCraft. This was probably the longest time we ever survived on a single server. I think it lasted for 5-6 months. Every time the map reset we always made a town. The towns where always the best on the server and always had to be named after a tasty treat , such as caketown - the underground city , cookieville - the humble estate , chocolate chip city - skyscrapers and such. All of this was done legit. Fearcraft was a tank of a server. It turned out it was being funded by a kid who stole his uncles credit card. I always thought it was a bit suspicious when he donated 2000 dollars every week.
On Fearcraft we did our usual , being general Feminine Hygene Product bags and we would do anything to get some extra cash. We even ran a bounty-hunting empire , where we placed bountys on everyone on the server and sent people out to kill them , in exchange we gave them cash whilest we kept their items. Rival groups emerged but nothing could ever compete against the assassins. We had all sorts of schemes going. One of the funniest , ingenious schemes we had going , was when we towered up high into the sky , built a booth with a piston and a cake ( for lolz). We then set a warp at the top and sat in the booth. We would persuade people to tp to us , then pull a lever and they plunged to their deaths. One of us would be positioned at the bottom to collect all the loot. The first time we tried it you died instantly but we had to remove it because it was a deathwarp. So we altered it to suit the rules and viola!
Anyway , we discovered yet another loophole / money making scheme , from the jobs plugin.
This plugin lets you make money from doing your "job". We both got the woodcutter job , made money from cutting down trees , then we figured out you could make even more money if you converted that wood into sticks! So your earnings got drastically multiplied when you convert your wood into sticks.
So after becoming the richest people on the server ( besides the guy who donated thousands every week) I decided " I NEEDZ MOAR MONEYZ"
So I set up a stall in CookieVille. The stall had a chest shop and a sign above it
I filled it up to the top with sticks and hoped for the best.
Then , everyone started buying them and poking eachother!
I was a genius! To start , they where ridiculously over priced and there wasn't anything special about the sticks. And second , they got so big even the owner had one!
Everyone loved to fight with hobosticks so from then on I put up a stall in every town since CookieVille.
After dominating FearCraft with the reign of the HoboStick , me and rainbow discovered MCSG. I became addicted and have stuck around since then.
We decided to make a map after a while and hoped for the best. After building most of the map we put in the hobo society. Here , you could obtain the HoboStick! I always wanted to have my hobostick on a bigger server than fearcraft and that was my golden opportunity!
Now , we have the hobostick we all know today!
And you will be seeing it allot more often as I plan to implement it into lots more future maps and I hope people continue the trend. Of course I'm gonna have to make it slightly harder to get due to the risks of it being removed
