Why is it soo laggy now

Ok when i played these servers befor this HUB thing the servers distance was like 200m when ever u hover your mouse over your connection bars i only get one bar of connection oh and i live in the us and i play US servers but now the distance is 3000m why is that am i on a bad server i live in kansas so if you could post a server that is closest to kansas that would be great cus i can hardly play any more

That's ping, not distance, measured in milliseconds (ms).
The ping in Minecraft is very inaccurate, and should not be relied on.

Are you getting connection or FPS lag? If it's FPS lag, it's likely just Minecraft 1.6.

it wasnt laggy in 1.5.2 and now it is im starting to not like minecraft any more
