Fix the sprinting please?

The sprinting seems to just be an issue with 1.6 - I've talked to the owners of other large communities and they appear to be having the same issue.

This virtually sums up my experience so far:

It takes a half second to respond to you tapping W. it's game-changing.

Takes like 1 second extra before sprint is toggled

I think thats just a server bug. I went into single player and its fine.

What I am coming to find is that sprinting is servers side as in if you try to sprint you have to wait for the server to update that you have tried to sprint making it impossible to immediately sprint unless you have the best possible ms. I am also finding massive FPS drops since 1.5 where I got 60-120 to now where I get 2-10 really hope this is fixable..

Yeah, unfortunately sprinting seems to be server-side in 1.6 now due to the way the new Entity Properties system works
As for the FPS drops, are you on a laptop or other machine with dual graphics cards (one for power saving, one for gaming)? If so, your machine is probably using the power-saving card, due to a bug in Mojang's 1.6 launcher. Look somewhere for an option to disable automated switching and always use the dedicated card.

English: our servers are technically still 1.5.2, but they are only able to be connected to by 1.6.1 clients. You can't get genuine 1.6.1 CraftBukkit until they update for 1.6.1, and once they do, we'll follow suit within a few hours.

Nope, They are waiting for Mcp(minecraft coder pack) to be updated.

All of Mojang's servers are down, it is an issue with 1.6. They are trying to get it finished within the day.
