I've never played pokemon. I never owned a handheld gaming device, and still don't. But I love it still I used to watch the show and I play the TCG non competitively.

You should try it, albeit very repetitive, it's very fun. Usually people play and watch the show, not play cards. Never learned how to play properly actually, my friend and I made up rules..

I would buy a DS or something to play (I know how to play) but then I'd never use it again I do play the online TCG and do very well though. I can't wait for the tournaments to be implemented!
