What are your grades?

Eh, I'm alright with computers and mechanical stuff.
I've decided to try and get qualifications to go to University (College to you Americans I think, correct me if I'm wrong ) and study Computer science in videogames, and then hopefully go into games development

For my GCSEs I got:

Maths - A
English Language - B
English Literature - B
Science - C
Graphic Design - B
BTEC Art & Design - Distinction
BTEC Animal Care - Merit

I am currently studying AS Maths, which I got a D in my first exam, and I'm waiting for the results of the exam I took last Monday :3
Also I'm doing BTEC Level 3 Computing & ICT which I have around an average of Merit from all my assignment grades :3

Grades in my country are with numbers from 1 to 10, being a fail from 1 to 5 and pass from 6 to 10. And thats not all your grades in each subject must all have a math average of 6 or more.

Simple system I wonder how you define your final grades with letters

We have those marks form projects and exams and then an average is taken from all those marks and you get your final grade in the subject.
Never got why so many countries have the letter system seems much more complicated for no reason
