Well then don't complain really. Knowing where chests are is probably the only solution to your problem. You don't even have to memorize a lot. Just find where a bunch of chests are in one area, make sure it's close to spawn, and it's not too popular.

First of all, did you have a route? If you didn't have a route, finding chests can be ridiculously hard.
I'd DEFINITELY suggest creating a route for every map. You can do this by watching videos, (I'd suggest Blamphe xP) searching for it on the forums, (go to the "forums" tab and type "Chest routes" in the search bar) or just spectating games and flying around, constructing a route by picking out landmarks.
If you had a route and the chests were missing from clear locations, that's a whoooooole 'nother story.

Dude, get a route, there's too many chests on most maps already imho (I'm looking at you SG5)
