Hey, it's probably a bit weird seeing me actually posting something on the forums, but after some recent drama within my clan involving other clans I feel like this needs to be addressed.
Now I know the AU Clan Community isn't the greatest with allegations of alts and DDoS'ing being assumed to happen in the majority of CB's/Scrims. So how about we as a collective community do something to change this? After all this is only a game meant for entertainment, not to trash talk and 'hit off' other people simply because you are that determined to win that CB or scrim. To be completely honest I don't think this thread is really going to change much in the way of clans but why not try
. I know this is a bit of a cliche, but how about we try to treat people how we want to be treated? I know that everyone who abuses and hits other people off wouldn't want the same being done to them, no one would.
An example of this is a CB I remember doing in one of my old clans about 6 months ago, the CB was at 1-0 My clan's way and for some reason we were certain that the other clan was using alts and consequently abused the crap out of the clan's owner. This abuse lead to him feeling really bad about himself and leaving the community as a whole.
Another point is about the elitism between 'good' clans and 'randy' clans, personally being in clans that were/are deemed 'good' hear about people in my clans and admittedly myself talking about how we are versing a 'randy' clan and we don't have to try at all and they will be easy to be beaten. This wasn't always the case of course. Some clans are considered underdogs but can still easily be as good as any 'good' clan.
This thread isn't going to be completely negative however as there are a few people who can actually take a loss and are willing to CB. Also not every single round of a CB is full of alts in the game and people randomly disconnecting, it comes down to who the better clan was on that day sometimes. But the sad reality is that more often than not rounds like that aren't going to happen, which is exactly the problem that needs to be fixed.
To end this thread don't think of this a full out rant, think of it as a reminder that we can stop what the AU Clan community has become some of us just have to put our egos aside and think about how as a community we can do so much better.

P.S: DDoS'ing is a crime and you can be sent to jail for it if they can find out the exact person who did it (at the extreme end of course). This website (http://www.blockdos.net/ddos-is-a-federal-crime) talks about it in depth, I know its relating to America but I assume that similar laws would apply to people in Australia and NZ
