I don't want to waste any of your precious time, so I'll keep this thread short and sweet.
I understand that the majority of the community is unable to record due to having either a lack of money or a slow computer, and this has been an issue in the past.
However, I have an idea that could possibly resolve this.

Similar to CSGO's GOTV, someone out there has created a 3D post-game spectating mod.
I understand that using something like this would create files too massive for any server/individual to handle, but hear me out.

If a user cannot handle running this mod for whatever reason, an option for the server to record everything and then have it temporarily available for download (in the case that the user fears being banned). This means that the servers don't have to carry around this extra weight, and the users can selectively download the matches they feel would be important to keep. Win/win.

If a mod like this already exists, then I'm sure some sort of plugin could exist in the exact same way. It would take time, yes, but the "importance of recording" and "unfair bans" would cease to exist.

Please, go for it. Some spoof of this mod could possibly be made by the development team, but I have no idea.

This seems like a pretty good idea, but I'm not sure how it would work out completely for the server. I can imagine lots and lots of hard drives.

I just figured out though that Windows 10 comes with an implemented background record which you can activate, maybe that could come in handy as well.

This is a great idea, but the only thing is handling all the videos in a mySQL database maybe? Once that replay has been created and put where ever so players and Moderators can access it, it should automatically be removed to fluctuate the level of videos on that database or where ever it could all go.

But in my opinion videos are large size files and this Replay mod does 3D so that is a bigger file size, it is all about what is handled correctly in my opinion.

There was that other solution that Tenebrous12321 told me about that was completely client sided and searched your minecraft for suspicious clients. The only problem was having everyone download it.

Although I know this was brought up to help the server it fascinates me that there's a mod that can replay gameplay. I'd love to watch myself play in a game with this mod.
