Do you believe...

You should not be a mod in this case. I had a friend who applied for mod but got denied for "forum inactivity" since you do not come on the forums often I do not see why you are mod...

I agree with you on that there should be a requirement to apply for moderator, but I think this mostly is about how long you have been with the community, not nessecarily how much 'posts and reports' you have created. I'd suggest that a member should be around on the servers for 4 months at least before he or she is able to create an application.

The main thing I remembered when writing my application, is quality over quantity. Some people say "Oh my application is 1800 words long!" That doesn't mean is going to get through, its about the effort and detail it doesn't necessarily have too be long C:

About how long players have been in the community? Sure, they may have been apart of this community for 4 months but have they attempted to get to know the community? The forums is the best place to know more of the community's needs, opinions, enjoyments, etc. If you're not active on the forums or at least attempt not to, then why should someone be a moderator if he/she isn't trying to get to know the community and improve it. Banning hackers isn't everything that will improve this server.

A person can get 200 messages in 1 week, isn't that what we want to change?

I never said that at all. I said that moderators should try to be more active on the forums. They don't have to have 200 posts, that was suggested by someone else. What I'm trying to do is have moderators be more active on the forums as this is the best way to hear new ideas, listen to the community, and just see more opinions from the community itself.

EDIT: Adding on, I would also like to hear some of the moderator's opinions on issues. We all hate it when moderators all give out the same response like it's their job. Even if they are a moderator, I still love to hear their opinions from their point of view such as Ceroria's.

I do agree with you, but apart from having a certain amount of posts, the user should be playing the servers for atleast some time to get to know how things work and stuff.

Of course. That's already mandatory in the application process (at least I hope so) but they also need to dedicate their time to the forums and see how it works and all. I'm very against moderators who make a forum account one week ago, have their moderator application thread be the first-five posts and then get moderator. It's absolutely nonsense in my opinion as they showed no interest getting to know the community at all.
