Mcsg is so stubborn for not allowing gamma. It doesn't give a pvp advantage. The only advantage it gives is seeing a bit better and tbh you can get a texture pack with a light map to have gamma. Banning youtubers because they use gamma is so dumb. They advertise your server and use gamma to make there videos brighter and you decide to ban them. Even in uhcs gamma is allowed and in that its actually useful. So why is it not allowed on MCSG?

Most likely it would be bannable, even without the gamma. I haven't really used it, but I've seen a streamer use it, and I got him banned. I feel it's a really big advantage, and should stay bannable.

I agree with you that it gives no pvp advantage, but it gives you an advantage in the Survival Games as a whole. Part of the game is being able to find your enemy and eliminate them. As MoLoToV said earlier in this thread:

If I'd be shifting far away on moonbase9 there is no way you would see me with normal brightness, however with full brightness you can spot me from miles away.

If you can use an outside source to allow you to see clearly on a dark map such as Moonbase9, you clearly have the advantage over those who don't have this new piece of code within their game. So their reasoning does not come from that whoever has the mod is going to win a fight, but rather you're able to see people far more easily that the vanilla game allows, which is unfair to those who don't have the mod installed.

Yes, because we don't know whether he uses gamma occasionally.
