Is Pixelmon Still Relevant?

So, I'm sure you all know the mod of pixelmon, or pokémon in minecraft... Basically,
Is it relevant anymore?
Do people still play it?
Are there any twists to it you would like to see?

I haven't see anyone play Pixelmon in so long.
I have never played it, since Ive never played pokemon ;-;

I really don't think people play it anymore.. It seems to me it died down a couple months ago. I personally stopped playing Pixelmon 5 months ago, mostly because I didn't find it that fun.

Well it used to be such a big hype cause many large Youtubers did it and even opened up their own pixelmon servers which got tons of people into it. However, that has changed in the recent months. Since 2015, I've tried going onto the once very huge pixelmon servers and the amount of people I see there was half of their original size when it was such a huge hype.

Pixelmon has died sadly.

I still know some people who play Pixelmon - I never did.

I think that it's definitely not as popular anymore, but I may still try it out. I don't think that it is extinct - there will definitely be someone to battle

Pixelmon couldn't grow because it was basically like a mod for a modded map.

I would say the main thing which caused it to become less relevant (especially for me) was the version requirements. Servers would never update to the latest versions of minecraft, preventing the ability to switch from most popular server to a pixelmon server without a restart.

Also, the ability to buy pokemon made me become very disinterested in it all. Pixelmon is a progression game and it loses a lot of satisfaction when you can simply buy a legendary for $5.

This is exactly the reason why I've stopped playing it over the months. Everything on any good server you can get all the rare stuff for just a couple dollars. Makes the game feel less like a true pokemon experience.

Yeah, it's not really big anymore. Certain aspects of it made it kind of stupid, in my opinion. At first I did like playing it though, it was pretty cool.
