Hello everyone. In this guide I am going to teach you how to win almost every single hunger games match you go into and PvP tactics that can be used to help you win your matches. I will go step by step on how to deal with every single scenario and what you should do if you have a teammate or not.

There is a small amount of strategy that goes into winning, but I'll simplify it for you: Careers always win. The person who gets the most chests eliminates the small game of chance that you get with randomized chests. The probability increases that you get something you want the more chests you clear. But before we indulge into Hunger Game tactics, I will go into how to win your PvP battles.

I will list the things you need to know while PvPing and a short explanation with it:
1. Always have lower ground.
- This is true because in Minecraft, when looking down, you have a shorter range then if you were looking up. So it will appear you have longer range than your foe when below them when it is in fact them having a lower range. You can use this to your advantage when you are severely outmatched by gear or people to camp on a ladder and hit them much more than they can hit you. This allows you to actually beat a person with a stone sword while they have a diamond sword. I have used this strategy before in a similar scenario.
2. The aggressor usually wins. Running away will generally get you killed unless you know you can recover.
- The aggressor or the person who plays more aggressively at the start of the battle, will usually win the battle because they will stunlock the player for a short second first and because of how hitboxes work, allowing you to get more hits than them.
3. Bow = Good
- Save up on your arrow and always have a bow, this is a great thing to use at the start of a 1v1 or 1v2 allowing you to lower the opponents hearts by 3-6 hearts if you place your shots correctly before they get into sword range. It can also allows you to kill a person fleeing, especially in water. Remember, lead your shots!
4. There are more, figure them out with the new skills you just learned!

(this route is for the new map, not the old one)
Now I will go into what you probably want, routes and strategies to lead you to victory. Though I can't explain the routes to the best of my abilities in text, I will try my best. The first thing you want to go for is a chest behind the pillar then head towards f: 2 in your F3 display into the village. Now go into village chests until you get a weapon (if you don't get one after three chests just continue) then head towards the building behind the gas station with a pink wool floor. In there are 7 chests. Once you retrieve all the items, scour the village for enemies. Once they are all dead, head towards the middle and finish of stragglers. You can either decide to wait here until night if you are low on food (always try to keep full food no matter what) or go out hunting. Just make sure to be home by night. After you clean out all the chests and made what ever new swords you got from the chests, head towards the village again. Players will usually come here to gain supplies due to the refill. Once all players are cleared there head towards the reactor and do rotation around the map. At this point in the game, there is only 8-4 players left. From here, just hunt other players until you find them. A nifty way to find names is to stand in front of a stone block or wood one and pear through it to see name plates. This is a good way to find names in a forest where the leaves obstruct the name plates. This strategy can be applied to 1-3 players.

This route is almost full proof if you don't die prior to getting to the pink room behind the gas station. There are more routes that can lead you to victory and routes to help you get back up if were closed out of the pink house by too many players, but I'll save these for myself and let y'all figure it out. :)

Having a partner in crime can greatly increase your chances in winning by allowing you to win an enemy team more easily. A 1v2 or 1v3 is never fun and kinda scary.

Hope this helps some players out and helps those who are struggling to win a match!
