Why do people apply for moderator?

Personally, I applied to help with the hacker issue, and help people in general, it makes me happy to help people :3 but I also applied because loads of my friends were in the staff team and wanted me to join too (Sean being the main person). There are tons of wonderful people in the staff team. :3 And people like me, and my trial group (KitMencha and Krypton) that originally joined just to help out, and ended up higher in ranks.

So as creepah said, if any of you on this thread want to apply, don't hesitate, you'll meet some great people, and there's no pressure to always be moderating. I loved my time as a mod, and I'm pretty sure if you ask some of the older mods/srmods, its sometimes stressful, but worth it! :3

Not old enough, can't find the age exception section. I honestly think I'm not mature enough yet anyways, but maybe in a year or two if this is still going on I'll apply.

But people apply for mod for a couple of reasons. ​

1. Helping out the community, People want to get mod to help out the community, ban hackers. Keep the chat clear. Etc.
2. Getting the rank, This is sad, but people do it. They get mod for the rank and don't do anything. They play and don't do much work at all, but their aren't many of them.
3. Getting a good rep, just getting respected in the community.
Their might be more.
Also the only thing I didn't like about the friend rank was that any one could have gotten it, but when platinum came along that got
fixed, I would agree that some people did deserve it but I won't go on a rant. Also GibbyMC I struggled to get 2,000 words.

It's still possible to get accepted for interview, even if it's an age exception.

Anyway, I applied for mod because I wanted to see people happier in the community and I wanted to help out.​

He means they do it just to stand out/draw attention.

Moderating is fun, Moderating is not fun. Think long-term, and how it will affect your real life. I let it get to the point where I was failing classes, because I was playing MC/Moderating instead of studying. No videogame should dictate your GPA.

I applied because I am not good at pvp or hunger games (as you look at my stats). I did this so I could have a reason to be on this server. And since I'm not much of a pvp'r-- I can just moderate in stead
