Okay, let me start off by saying I created this thread to just express my opinion on the whole MCSG Situation ever since V2. Please read the whole thing before replying unnecessary comments. Thank you.
I've been seeing a lot of MCSG Players, especially now, complaining about how Developers and Staff are not doing anything to improve MCSG. They resort to complaining, bugging Staff about the delays and quitting MCSG. Don't get me wrong, I have said and done things similar to this in the past but now I fully understand why MCSG hasn't really changed the past few months since the V2 Update and I hope that you would also understand after reading this.
There are various threads that Developers and Staff have made trying to explain the reasons for certain delays such as the Leaderboard Update. In case you didn't realise, most Developers and Staff actually have lives outside of MCSG which means that they can't constantly work on the updates 24/7. The fact that many bugs like the 'Last Charge Fns Bug' and 'Invisible fire on glass etc.' were fixed shows that MCSG Staff do care about their players but sometimes, they just don't have the time or expertise to fix them. The implementation of the 'Clean Sweep' System to get rid of as many hackers as possible is another great example of what Staff are doing to make the MCSG Community a better environment for new players.
Think of this, you have so many servers across Australia, Europe and the USA. You decide to create a plugin that will allow any player to /fly in the hub. You begin to script the plugin (2-3 Days). You test the plugin on a server but it seems to be interfering with another plugin so you resolve it (1 Day) and it seems to be running smoothly the second time so you install it on the actual servers players use to connect. They type /fly but every time they type it, the plugin gives an error to the player and the server crashes their game. Remember, there are approximately 2-3 thousand players every day and each time any one of them does /fly, they crash. Players start flooding your website complaining about this but you're already busy fixing other bugs other players are also complaining about and on top of that, you have to continue scripting and testing new plugins you promised to release months ago. You simply don't have time to meet the demands of 2-3 thousand players everyday. The players get frustrated and start leaving the server and complaing about the bugs all over the internet. How would you feel?
This is exactly what Staff and Developers have to deal with each and every single day. So please, before giving complaints about a delay and venting your anger on other players, think about the Developers trying their best to meet the demands everyone while also fixing other minor bugs like invisible glitches etc. that players can't play with. I've seem many YouTubers who obviously haven't bothered to check the forums, complain and whine about the Leaderboard Update, V2 being bad etc. without considering the fact that Staff members are only human. Please don't join them in your ignorance and just be glad that the MCSG Staff are doing their best to help us out. It's not easy being a human and getting treated like a machine.
