On the topic of Global Leaderboard update

There's a lot of bugs to fix, and I doubt they would let such a big update fade into the distance.

Hey guys, Blazerboy here with one of his few real posts.
In case you haven't noticed, no person or group or community is perfect. We need to accept that it will just take some time for these new things that we want to come!

Leaderboards take a lot of work and coding and plug-in jumbo mumbo to make sure they run perfect, without bugs or anything. Think about it - once these new leaderboards are put in, the old ones won't be functioning anymore, only archived. This means that, if it wasn't perfect, we'd have only one leaderboard system which would be extremely buggy.

Back to my first sentence, we should remind ourselves that a lot of great things are promised, yet never brought to light.
Look at some great examples like:
1) Half-life 3
2) Left 4 Dead 3
3) a good president
4) GTA V for PC
So let's all take a second and think about what we say before we say it. We only have a few developers, and they can't work all day every day for year round, so cut them some slack.

If I see anyone complain, flame, or make an idiotic post, I will crush your spinal column and dropkick an african baby.

To be more on topic, we are not perfect here at MCGamer. We did promise these things upon the release of MCG v2, however some complications arose and we weren't able to fulfill them to the best of our ability but if anything we will go through with it and you will see the leaderboard update c:

I myself am very excited for the new leaderboards and new website, but think of it this way. The longer we wait, the better and more hyped it'll be upon it's release, eh?

Anybody remember Mojang's name change promise? Hah, I'd be surprised if they actually came out with it at this point despite all of the work the put into it ._.

That's not really comparable.

MCSG set a self imposed deadline on the leaderboards update that they failed to reach two times already (3 times when December ends). Mojang simply said "We're working on a name change update that will be released after 1.8."

Honestly, if you can't reach your own deadlines, don't impose them upon yourself.

I'm still waiting for the tournaments and game masters that were promised in MCSGv2.

Oh and when they said they were going to move the US location to Texas. And never did.

Well. They did officially state that the name change system was 100% functional within Minecraft, but now they need to find the right time to put it into the game which might be in 1.9 or next big patch within 1.8.

Gamemaster mode does exist. It's a moderation tool. I guess things like the Hell Games and whatnot kinda count as tournaments too.

But at this point it's best just to accept that anything announced will take time.

I know OhFancy already said this, but basically all the bugs will be cleared before they do the global leaderboard update thingy. That hasn't happened yet and so therefor the update hasn't happened. I understand your frustration but please be patient.

No no no it's not my frustration. The only thing I am saying is that they promised it two times... Once when MCGV2 was released but they wanted to remove bugs and promised a date in the next week all i am saying is that MCG needs to full fill their promises.
