Gifting and Credit Shop Additions

The holiday season is upon us, and we want to bring you a few new ways to share the season's greetings.

Gifting Items in the Credit Shop

Today we released a new gifting system, so you can gift other players almost any of the items that are in the MCGamer Credit Shop! When you gift an item to another player, the cost of the item will come out of your MCGamer Credits balance, while the other player will receive the item- you can even leave a message for the other player to see when they next log in! A full walk-through of gifting an item to a player is outlined at the end of this post.

Winter Seasonal Items
In addition to the ability to gift items to others, we have also enabled 3 seasonal items to be purchased:

• Snowman Pet
• Snowing Particle Effect
• Ice Block Hat

These items can be found under the "Seasonal Items" section of the in-game Credit Shop. Players who purchase a seasonal item now will be able to use them at any time throughout the year. These items will only be available to purchase through the new year, so get them while they're here!

Earning Credits
Some people have asked about how you can earn credits without purchasing them directly. We are looking to add more ways to earn MCGamer Credits from in-game through the form of server achievements. If you didn't already know, you can earn a few thousand credits by completing a hub tutorial, and plenty more are on their way. A few new ways to earn credits will be even coming later this week!

Bugfixes
In addition to these features, we have also fixed an issue with the system managing your currently equipped items when you switch between servers. Your equipped effects should now be reapplied consistently on hubs, even when you are switching between servers.

Gifting an item using the Credits Shop

1. Interact with the gold bar in your hotbar to open the Credit Shop.
2. Click on the chest icon to enter gifting mode.
3. Find and click the item that you would like to gift.
   • Upon clicking the item, if you have enough credits to purchase it, the menu will close and you will be prompted in the chat for the name of the player to send the gift to.
4. Enter the player's name into the chat (the chat won't be sent to other players).
5. Verify that the correct player has been found, and enter 'yes' into the chat (or 'no' if it hasn't found the correct player).
   • You will now be prompted to leave an optional message for the player receiving the gift. If you enter 'exit' instead, the transaction will end and the gift will not actually be sent.
6. As long as you haven't cancelled, the Credit Shop interface will show up again and ask you for a final confirmation. If you accept here (by clicking the green clay icon), the credits will be deducted from your balance, and the gift will be sent.

If you would've read the entire post you'll have known that you'll be able to earn MCGamer credits in-game aswell in the near future.

Well that's because the MCGamer credit system only covers aesthetics, as MCGamer has always been about having a level playing field. Although unfortunately, not many people want to pay for having a pet, or particles around your body, which is completely understandable. The devs are still doing a good job on it though, anything more about the current status of the leaderboard update? :S
Its meant to be released this month?

There is a glitch with the achievements. Remember that old bug how you would get all your achievements again when you joined a lobby, well I had 500+ achievements, and for some reason they got set back to 0, but now I cant earn the achievements back, I cant get any more achievements even though I am currently on 0.
