I am sick and tired of getting teamed on in DM. If they weren't already teamed, the 2 other people in deathmatch with me usually random team on me, even if I'm not the most stacked person. I think that a 1v1 system of some sort should be implemented. I understand it's an odd number of people with 3-man deathmatches, but I have two basic ideas for how this could work.
My first idea is that two of the last three people are randomly selected and put into a 1v1. After this 1v1, the winner is healed. Then, the last two 1v1 and the winner of that obviously wins the game. The only debatable part is when the players should be healed. Should they be healed going into the first 1v1? Should the player who didn't have to fight in the first 1v1 be healed as well in case he didn't have food or something? There are plenty of questions that would have to be answered. Also, I'm sure many people would debate that the system is too luck-based, but that's up to them to decide.
My second idea is to increase the amount of people required for deathmatch to begin to 4. This way, there would be two separate 1v1's and then the winners of each would be healed and they would duke it out for the win. Again, some of the same questions would be raised about when the players should be healed or which players should be healed at which time and stuff like that.
I'm sure this is a very controversial topic for some people. As I said before, many people would say it's too luck-based and blame their death on having to fight two people/good players, depending on which of the two systems. I think it's fair though, because either way the best player wins. 1v1 or not, sometimes players will get lucky or unlucky in PvP. I think that having bad luck in the 1v1 system is a lot better than having the bad luck of dealing with teams. Also, people might just start to counter it by just making bigger teams of 3 and 4 so everyone can get in the deathmatch. Also, people might argue that this affects clan battles/scrimmages, but I'm not to savvy with how clans work, so I really don't know.
All in all, though, I think this is a good idea and the good things cancel out and override the bad things about it.
