So, I want to rename some items in my texture pack. Anyone know how?

Go to your .minecraft folder, and then go to your versions folder. Pick the current version that you are using. Then, open up the .jar inside that folder. Then, once you have that file opened (should open in WinRAR or 7-zip or whichever archive program you're using), click on assets ---> minecraft ---> lang ---> en_US.lang. It should open up with Notepad or any other text editor programs. Just find the items you want to rename (Click CTRL + F, and then a search bar should pop up. Type in the item name you want to change.)
After you're finished, save your file.
Hope I helped.

Do the exact same thing as smizach said but start if going to library, application support, minecraft, then versions and continue with what smizach said bit just double click the jar (and open with TextEdit)
