1.8 Thoughts?

So 1.8 just came out a few hours ago, what do you like and what do you think could have been better? Post below!

I would say I like a majority of 1.8. Especially the new underwater temple with all the guardians to protect it while there is so much to explore! However, I'm still a little perplexed about the name changing feature. However, I wouldn't mind, I hope it came out with the 1.8 update.

Well, obviously a lot of people are frustrated by the lack of the name changes existing, but the new blocks and doors seem pretty cool. Also banners.

Really though until OptiFine comes out with 1.8, I'm staying on 1.7.8 or whatever I have OptiFine for.

Though once it does come out that and the new FPS stuff it should be really smooth!!!

Name changing was never planned for 1.8; it's a common misconception that it was. However, 1.8 was needed to change some things in the game to make name changing possible.

No optifine = Me still playing 1.7.4

At least you can still use 1.7 on our servers!

I really enjoy the new blocks and temples.

Everything is awesome and fun, but now Minecraft looks like a modpack. Really fun tho.
The PvP changed tho are really bad.
1st: They buffed the bow and now it goes further.
2st: The rod got nerfed. The fishing rod has now a 1sec delay and you can't rod spam. And now it is slower and goes I think 4-5 blocks the most.

Computer is being repaired at the moment, so I have no clue.
But from what I have seen, it looks nice!
I have no idea about the PvP aspects of the update and what has been affected. And I rarely play single player, so I guess all I really look forward to is future maps with the new blocks and things being implemented in them.
