Welcome to the Pokémon Showdown Leaderboards. Inspired by Soul's US Clan Leaderboards, this is ladder for Pokémon Showdown where, in order to rank up or down, you must challenge and defeat the player directly above you, whereupon you take their place. The purpose of these leaderboards is to keep the PS community more active and facilitate battles between members, but remember: this is purely for fun and behaviour indicating otherwise will not be tolerated.
- All battles will be best of 3 by default. A best of 5 may be played if both players agree to it. Note: this does not mean you may refuse best of 3 challenges and demand a best of 5. Random battle matches will be minimum 5 because of the luck involved.
- Battles will follow Smogon rules for their respective tier, which can be found here.
- Challenges should be submitted through either the Skype chat or this thread.
- When you challenge the player above you, an arrangement must be reached within 48 hours, and the battles played within another 48 hours. This process may of course happen faster should both players be willing and able.*
- Should a match not happen within the given time frame, the win will be awarded to the player available at the arranged time. Proof of this must be submitted as screenshots of Skype messages, PS, etc. In the event that there is insufficient evidence either way, the ladder will remain unchanged.
- By default, players will meet in the room '<tbc>'
- Declining a challenge will cause you to move down a spot as if you had lost.
- If you lose to the player above you, you must wait 2 days before being able to challenge them again
- Once the battles have been played, the replays must be provided for me to post along with the overall result. Replays are obtained by clicking 'Share Replay' after the battle.
*This rule is subject to change depending on the number of tiers.
The job of the staff is to review replays in order to make sure that Smogon rules are being adhered to, as well as to sort out disagreements in my absence.
