Great idea! Here's a few things you can improve though:
- Add a better face to the clock tower.
Maybe Google "minecraft circles" and copy a circle shape, then add in some clock detail. I would also suggest some more detail on the tower itself.
- Custom trees!
Possibly every map on MCSG has custom trees. Look for some inspiration somewhere, they can really improve the quality of the map.
- Pixel art/statues.
In my opinion, I think you should remove the pixel art/statue(s), although they may look good in a single-player superflat world. They won't look to good on a MCSG map. I understand, however, everyone wants to have themselves in their map.
- Random Buildings
The buildings around the map look fairly "random." For example, the farm looks a little out of place, farms tend to be in flat, open areas, not beside a mountain. Another example is the college/gym with the basketball courts, is kind of in the middle of no-where, usually buildings like that would be in the middle of a city. (Possibly copy and paste a few buildings together to make a "town.")
You don't have to do any of these things, just suggestions. Great Map!
