While I agree with you, it's commonly known that Pelé is the best, ever. While obviously there's no way to know, he's at least one hell of a player.
No he sucks

Anyone remember the Germany vs England game in 2010? Lampard hit the post, the ball bounced in the goal a few feet in, then bounced out. The goal didnt count... Hopefully they have cameras/sensors this time.

I'm half-german and half-english so I'll be supporting both, I don't really have a preference.

I'm sorry, did you just say that Messi will become better than Pelé? The legendary Pelé? You cannot compare an aging and under-performing Messi, to the legends of Pelé and Ronaldo. Messi isn't even the best Argentinian player, must less the best in the world. The Balon D'Or is given to the best player, the reason it was given to Ronaldo is because he is the best. Sure, several years ago it may of been Messi, but several years ago, the Soviets still dominated Eastern Europe. Times change, players differ. Currently, Ronaldo is the best. There is no doubt that he is the best at the moment. In my opinion Messi never topped Ronaldo, but one can disagree. There is simply no comparison to be made anymore, Messi is done.

And just for clarification, there is no way, in time or space, that Messi's skill can ever exceed that of Pelé. Pelé is a God among men. He is the greatest player that Santos, Brazil, and the world have ever seen. Nothing but Ronaldo can ever exceed that. He is the penultimate of Football.
Why can't we just be grateful that we have two absolutely incredible players right now, who are some of the best ever... And as for Messi/Ronaldo vs. Pele, as much as Pele was absolutely incredible, it's difficult to judge how great he was as all we have was highlight reels, so I'd say that that comparison is a bit ridiculous unless you've fully watched both.

And as for 'aging and under-performing'... nah, just nah. He's had a tough season with injuries, but you've already forgotten that he scored 91 goals in 1 calendar year 18 months ago? And that he was doing brilliantly till he got injured?
