Yes, Mostly to communicate, and its better Audio quality. Plus, if you are active on there, better chances you will be accepted.

Im sorry to say this, But I will have to postpone this project, My internet has been haywire lately, I wont be able to do this at least until schools out (Summer) So yeah, keep applying, but i wont accept for a long time.
