So, yesterday, I got a file from Kennyrulez from skype (http://prntscr.com/3najnz) and also, he invited all of his skype friends, at once and he posted them too. Now, I clicked it, thinking it some art he gave me, and it was like images.pif, I pressed Run, and my computer froze for a sec. Then, it said "sms.exe wants to access your skype". Now, I didn't do anything, as my mouse couldnt move either in the monitor, and so I waited, after that, I shut down'd the computer and went to sleep. Now, my mother used it and she told me it said "85% CPU Overheated". This happens like, every 4 hours or so. What is this exactly?

Internet 101, never click links with unrecognizable URLS, even from people you know, because even their account could have been hacked. Unfortunately, sometimes you learn things like this the hard way, lesson learned, you may have to reset your whole computer. (But, you may want to ask someone else because I have never gotten a virus)

You'd want to run a scan on your computer to ensure no trojans, keyloggers etc were installed as well. I've never received anything like this, so I'm not exactly sure what they do.

Best of luck removing it.

Two of my friends got this same Skype virus and both of them had to have their computers completely wiped clean to factory mode and/or buy a whole new computer. Good luck!

I've had two friends send me this. It's a nasty bugger, the first time, as I almost finished downloading, my friend told me to stop. Since then, I understood what it was. One of my other friends had downloaded it on his mac, and it blocked his internet, saying the police had access to all of his files and he must pay a fine for watching p**n. Well, all he did was use Mcafee to clear it off. Please PM me for more detail, as much as possible.

This one's nasty. If you have anything you really need, back it up, then wipe your computer. Easiest solution.

That's what I'm saying to my dad. I will hopefully do it today or tomorrow. Thanks for all the help guys!
EDIT: So, I just got it. AI Suite sent me a message telling me "85% Usage!" and I just see in the monitor temperature thingies "CPU: 100%". So, I go to Task Manager and deleted msdtc.exe, that had 2,890 kb usage, and it went from 100% to 3%. And well, I thought these were some images I requested from Kennyrulez, thought he just used a different file format xD. Yea, I should be careful.

Try delete system files and registry files too, in case there's a key logger.
