Hey Y'all,

So I was just scrolling down facebook being the insecure person I am, and I found this horrendous story, it's about a women who was dying in hospital and the nurse brought in her cat so the cat could see her before she died, while I'm writing this I've got tears rolling down my tees all over my ipad. I've got such love for cats and it just hurts me soooo much to hear something like that.

Like most people, I also fear that moment a pet or family member dies, and everyday I dread to think I get that phone call.

So at the moment Im feeling rather depressed after reading that. Does anyone have any advice on deaths and how to get such things out of your head.

Thank you for reading and advice. Sorry if you find my touchy and insecure threads annoying. I just....yeah.

From the words of the amazing Monty Python:

Some things in life are bad they can really make you sad. Other things just make you swear and curse when you're chewing on life's gristle. Don't grumble, give a whistle and this'll help things turn out for the best and always look on the bright side of life. If life seems jolly rotten, there's something you've forgotten and that's to laugh and smile and dance and sing. When you're feeling in the dumps, don't be silly chumps. Just purse your lips and whistle that's the thing and always look on the bright side of life. For life is quite absurd and death's the final word. You must always face the curtain with a bow. Forget about your sin and give the audience a grin. Enjoy it - it's your last chance anyhow. So always look on the bright side of death a-Just before you draw your terminal breath life's a piece of s**t, when you look at it. Life's a laugh and death's a joke, it's true. You'll see its all a show, keep 'em laughin' as you go just remember that the last laugh is on you and always look on the bright side of life...
Always look on the right side of life...

Listen to the song :p That'll cheer you up :)

Everyone and Cscoop knows that dogs are better. :)

Death doesn't bother me that much. If I were to drop dead this instant, aside from still not having found a wife, I'd have no regrets. If a loved one were to drop dead this instant, I'd assume they'd gone to heaven since they're all better people than me, keep the sadness in, and let it dissipate inside over the next few months.

Honestly, death scares me so much because I don't know what happens. Just having the life in you completely gone and to never be able to get it back makes me nervous and scared.

The best way to get over a death is to understand that your time with that person is over. While you do have memories of being with the person, it's best not to let those memories consume you. Find ways to keep your thoughts off any sad memories. Video games, writing, reading, exercising. Whatever helps you think positively. And lastly, remember that crying is always alright. Crying is a good way to vent negative emotions.

Excuse the double post, but I'd agree that MCSG is a great coping mechanism. You lose your grief for the loved one in an all-consuming vision-tinting red haze of blood rage! :D

Take it out on the internet. Turn off your chat, get in-game, and just slash away at players like there's no tomorrow. Because there really might not be. (jk)
But really, I find hardcore gaming to be a great stress-reliever. Unfortunately, most of my stress comes from times when I'm not on the internet..
