I love this idea, this campaign, and the European community. Those that are not out-right hackers or trash-talkers are genuinely nice, and I am shockingly pleased to see it. I am honored to be a part of the EU community (even though I am from the US), and would like to thank all of those that are assisting in making the European servers a much more friendly environment!

Although I am from US and EU is a difficult server for me to moderate because of my timezone, I know the basics of this plan and it should work very well. Players, please contribute in any way you can, moderators work very hard to make your gaming experience enjoyable and it would be much appreciated for you guys to help us out when you can.

Everyone likes statistics, right? I know I do. Okay, how about this:

On May 3rd, 2014, a joint team of 20 moderators from EU, US, and CA showed some serious initiative during the brief downtime before their Saturday staff meeting. Without any intervention on the side of the Sr. Staff, this group organized themselves into a unit, hunkered down into a custom Teamspeak channel, and all connected to the EU region. Their objective was simple: moderate the EU region in what little time they had. With the nature and title of the operation, they called their moderation session a, "sweep", and they wasted no time getting to work.

Long story short, in the span of 24 hours on May 3rd, 2014, that relatively small group of moderators managed to dispense 129 successful bans, a majority of them for hacking-related purposes. 1/5th of the moderator staff successfully conducted 1/3 of the total bans in the community on that day alone.

That sweep, organized and conducted on behalf of a dedicated group of moderators, was considered so successful that two more sweeps were conducted, with another one scheduled for tomorrow. While I don't have the number of bans nor the roster of participating moderators for those sweeps, I have no doubt that they were just as successful as the first.

The staff is already doing their part cleaning up EU, but they could always use some help.

Part of the reason for the successful sweeps is the coordination between players and staff members. Staff may have the ability to kick and ban, but we depend on players to find them first. Reporting hackers and other rule breakers is the first step towards banning unwanted players, and that's the first step to improving conditions for players everywhere. So if you're reading this, do your part: report any rulebreakers you see. You show us where they are, and we'll bring the ban hammer down on them.

And if you see a group of moderators conducting a sweep in a channel or ingame, be sure to thank them for what they're doing.

As Col said, it's really making a big difference. A big thanks to all the people who have helped out so far. It goes to show the dedication of the staff team to a simple project. Keep it up guys!

This is a question that has eluded for a while now, so I thought this thread would be perfect to ask it. Say I am in a game and it is Deathmatch just me and him, a hacker. What should we do? I don't have time to open recording software without him killing me, but I don't have time in poke a mod in TS and perhaps for some reasons I am not in some kind of call with anyone. Does that hacker just get away with it? What should I do? :p
My recommendation would be to follow the hacker to your next game, and record or poke a mod to report him.

You make the staff sound like a highly-trained, top secret, SWAT agents who are complete bad-asses in suits.

"We're going in for a sweep."

I was thinking in stead of having so many moderators on team speak wasting time watching over channels. How about you have moderators go into games and play games of mcsg and then you will see how many hackers there are on the US server LOL I can't even describe how many there are. You will be running down a road on map and then to your left there will be a guy walking on water then on your right there will be a guy slowing gliding down from a buulding. But then straight ahead in front of you will be a guy with kill aura or aim bot Stairing you down and ready to ruin your day and experience on mcsg. And the staff seems to care about everyone's experience here on mcsg or mcgamer whatever you want to call it. So maybe take this into consideration. I also have a question for a staff member to answer, why can't hacked clients have a filter like better sprint mod has? That would be amazing.

Our amazing developers are constantly working on making our server better, . Our staff are often playing games. When we do see rule-breakers, we take the action required of us. On another note, there are limited staff, and A LOT of people that play on the servers, so, when it comes to every day players, we need as much help as possible from the community.
