Boboy's Guide To Winning MCSG Games

You don't need to use all the tips but if you do I will help you a lot!
  1. Get a friend to play with. If you team with a close friend your chance of winning will increase. Dont team with random people they may betray you.
  2. Don't put on your good armor until you have at least a wood sword or stone axe. People will chase you from the beginning of the game for your armor. They will chase you until they kill you.
  3. If there is a team try to take them out one by one. Wait until they split up or if they are not looking at you. Try to set them on fire first. Then shoot them with the bow a few times. Then try to hit them with your sword. Its better to attack when they are still on fire because they cannot run away as quickly. This tip is good for teams or when your fighting someone with better armor and/or a better sword.
  4. Try to get the chest refills. they refill when it is night time so make sure you get there.
  5. Learn a chest rout and know where there are parkours.
  6. Practice! You probably wont start playing mcsg and automatically get wins. It takes practice.
  7. Use other items other than swords. You should have a good balance between bow, flint and steel, and fishing rods. If you have a lot of arrows and a bow try to get them into the water. If you have flint and steel try to get them into an open area. Fishing rods are good when you want to push players into walls or get them stuck on a block. It really messes them up. :p
  8. Learn the map. When you are a spectator look around and familiarize yourself with the map and chests.
  9. Team in deathmatch. If you team in deathmatch it gives you a better chance of winning. Just wait and let the other two players to fight. Stay close but not too close. When one player dies go after him because he will have low health. Also stat the rest of the players so you can know how good the people are when you get into deathmatch with them.
  10. If you have a lot of points try not to type in chat in the lobby. People will see your points and may target you.
  11. Most importantly be SMART. Don't make dumb decisions that will cost you the whole game. Choose good times to attack and good places to run away to when you are getting chased.
Good Luck and Have Fun!

Some people are not very good and will do anything to win. Its not cheaply its just a strategy.
Teaming is not strategy; strategy implies some kind of art or guile. It's not like you have to be an elite MCSG strategist to pull off a clutch team, is it? Anyone can team. I choose not to team because I'm not desperate for wins and I respect the experience of other players.

I don't mean to sound all holier-than-thou- go ahead and team if you want to- just for the love of god don't call it strategy. You're delusional. kthx

You have the right to an opinion. To be honest teaming is a strategy. You may not like teaming but it gives you a better chance of winning and it helps. Just because you dont team does not mean others shouldnt either. All I am doing is giving advice to those who can not win as easily as others. We all have our own ways of winning some people dont have good enough pvp skills to win. If you dont like my guide than that is ok. But please dont disrespect me. Others may find this useful.

In all honesty, telling people teaming is good is not good, in a sense. Yes, everyone is entitled to an opinion, although it doesn't mean it is right. Teaming makes the game for those who like to play alone not fun. Especially teams of 3+. If you do not have the skill to win, practice, teaming won't help you get better.

I like how we are goning to probbably start a flame over teaming.

But I do agree, temaing is not a stratagy in any possible way. It doesnt involve any, well, skill. It consists of calling a friend on skype and telling him to join a game, or even writing in chat: "tem dud 4 benja nd bak say 123". Teaming is also annoying, as it gives you a unbelivable amount of advantage towards other, solo, players. If you do team, and manage to get killed by a (Non-hacking) player, you can give yourself a high five, look in the mirror, and say to yourself: "Im so good at this game!".

I personally play solo and I rarely ever team becuase I have the skills to win alone. I only team for fun if I am in a skype call with a friend. I was just suggesting teaming for players who want a chance of winning. If you are really bad and cannot win for your life than you should team to get practice. A team of 2 is not very difficult to kill especially if they are not very good. I am not suggesting everyone to team I am suggesting the new or not very good players to team. I am just suggesting a tip to players who wants to win. I am not trying to start a flame. Please dont argue this is just an innocent thread. Teaming is a good way to get practice until you are good enough to play alone. There are a lot of great players out there making it very difficult for new players to win, Teaming may be unfair if they are really good but if the players are not so good there is nothing wrong with it.

Teaming is not good practice. Just throwing that out there.
