How to reset your stats! (1.8)

So last night (while I was in bed) I was thinking about MCSG and stuff and I realised that with the new name changing system it is actually possible to reset your stats.

Please be aware that it is not free and will be even more expensive with donations to an account.

What do you need?
2 minecraft accounts.

What do you need to do?

On the account that you want to keep the name of, change your name to some thing random. Then, with the other account you name that account to the original name. This is possible because when you name your new account to the desired name, the account name is free.

Please bear in mind if you are a donator you will have to transfer the donor to that account as it is not the original account. You will also have to buy a new account to

Unless you switch the accounts around, like this post suggests to do. That comes with its own set of caveats too - such as needing to transfer donor - and if it's used to bypass a ban, both accounts could face permanent bans.

This thread could then give some possible ways to bypass a users permanent ban? Oh no, this isn't good.

This is kinda clunky, because you still need another account... most people that can't just buy an alt now probably won't be able to then.

Yes it is, but if you get a new account then you get a completely new UUID

Yeah I did explain that you will need money to buy a new account. Its even worse if you are donor because you have to pay for the donor to be transferred.

It doesn't really do anything new. Nowadays one could buy an alt anyway, this just lets you keep your name (therefore sometimes making it easier to get caught, if the player is known).
