I think a writing contest would be fun. I remember you had one of those for your TE adventure map (which hasn't come out yet, not sure if you're still working on it). I'd like to do another at some point Maybe even a co-operative writing contest, so you could have like a small team.

In my opinion I would love to have tournaments in the mcgamer servers for instance sg tournaments , 1vs1 , and well just any type of tourney to do with anything like creative builds or QQ tournaments. I think that would get people involved more in other Game modes.
