Hello MCSG players, so recently MCSG added a new update to their servers, and in my opinion it is really pointless, I am going to give my opinion to every update that I've seen being added.

The change with the points:
Honestly, in my opinion this is a really pointless thing to add to MCSG, the only thing is does is that it adds a comma when the number is thousand or higher [1,652 for example]. The worse part about it is that it doesn't seem to work all the time, I see it in In-game once, but when I am next time in-game I don't see it, same when it comes to the lobby. The other point was that it wasn't needed to be added because I'm pretty sure people can count without a comma [you can tell what 4525 or 23643 is right?]. Overall it shouldn't have been really added.

The new voting system:
MCSG also added a new voting system, that shows what's the chance of a certain map to win, in my opinion, it wasn't needed. I'm pretty sure the community can tell which map is going to be voted just by looked at how many people have voted for it [Example]:
The Survival Games 4 [ 35% ] 7 votes.
Breeze Island [ 20% ] 4 votes.
Holiday Resort [ 25% ] 5 votes.
Avaricia [ 20% ] 4 votes.
Fortress Pyke [ 0% ] 0 votes.
Just by reading of the amount of votes on the map, you can see which one is going to be played. So this is why I think it wasn't necessarily needed.

The "fence glitched" being removed:
Before it was removed, this glitched allowed players to actually stand a chance against a team, because when you fight a team and they start chasing you forever, that bug could actually save your life and not cause you to rage because you couldn't sprint after some minutes. It also gave a chance against hackers, because when the hackers are chasing you and you are low on health, you could just right click a fence that is nearby and eat it while escaping.
Sadly, the Developer team in MCSG removed it, it is really a pain in the butt now. The glitch brought a new aspect in the game that wasn't there. It was the one that gave you a chance to survive and win and actually give you a 2 win streak [talking about the EU servers when it comes to win streaks], it also gave a chance to survive with the new hunger problem. But now because it is gone, we will have to come back to the old era when we will die because our food bar is lower than 3.

When I posted a thread about my MineCraft being really laggy due to the new server host, this is the message that I got
http://prntscr.com/2wm30k
I was actually thinking that the developer team was working as hard as they could to fix this issues as soon as possible [The connection issue was like that for over a month, but yesterday it was fixed]. But now since the new update came out, I really think that they just ditched the bug to create something more "important" that the players would "love" to see.

To the MCSG staff team, next time you are going to add something new to the server, ask the community if they would like to see it. Don't just create something pointless as the new points/voting system.

The end.

Why would the comma be removed? You're just putting the Devs down for nothing, they added it for the younger players who have trouble.

And the fench glitch was a bukkit glitch, fixed by bukkit. Why would they go find a new PvP plug-in or create a new one just to have a fence glitch? Waste of time.

Concerning the fence glitch:

No, I do not believe that it should be added back.
Don't get me wrong - Once I heard it was legal, I used it just as much as the next guy when I played, and to be honest, I liked it.

However, in the future Bukkit updates, the fence glitch will not be implemented again. That means that the Developers will have to find or code a new plugin that specifically has the fence glitch. That only adds more work onto their already busy schedule, and another addon to the server files, which takes up more space and RAM, making the servers slightly laggier, more often.
It is not a Vanilla Minecraft technique, and it is not something that would add a Hunger-Games feel to the servers. In fact, it would help people be hungry less often - literally!
The glitch was not supposed to exist originally, and Bukkit patched what was not supposed to be there.

And I'm not sure if you get the idea of the voting system. It's supposed to show the % chance of a map being voted, which goes up as it gets more votes.

I may have been rude about the comma thing, but I really don't think it's a complete issue to read numbers.

In the live stream that was not too long ago, they've addressed that the developers are going to fix the fence bug. As far as I remember I never heard them saying it it is a Bukkit glitch.

Regarding the new voting system....
http://www.minecraftsurvivalgames.com/threads/an-alternative-voting-system-raffle-voting.80423/
It was a community suggestion which had a ton of positive support, and so we coded it and implemented it.

Regarding adding proper formatting to strings of numbers, well we obviously aren't going to set up a poll for that. Another example, if there was a grammatical issue in the code, we aren't going to make sure everyone is on board with fixing it before we do so, we would just fix the grammatical issue. It's just a minor fix.

Regarding the fence glitch, it's a bug. Even if a lot of people like it, a lot of people don't. We prefer changes made to the game to be created by us so that they are balanced, and it would be a bad idea to change the game based on bukkit errors.

I find it very difficult to take your post seriously after reading this complaint.

First off, the added comma was due to an internal change in the translation system, which makes managing language translations easier for us. It was a side effect of that change. Not everything uses the new translation system yet, which is why it doesn't appear for all numbers.

Secondly, I'm not quite sure why you're complaining about a comma. Out of all of the things anyone could possibly complain about, a comma? Seriously? I don't mind constructive criticism, but this is just beyond silly. It's not like the world is going to end because there's a comma separating numbers. At this point, I'm inclined to say that your first complaint, the complaint about commas, is just you trying to find something to complain about, other than the raffle voting, and the fence glitch removal. Not trying to say that offensively, but I took your complaint about commas quite offensively. I'm pretty sure an internal change to our system to make things work better in the future is not pointless, in fact, far from.

However, other than that, we do appreciate your input on the rest of the concerns, however it appears Tacoface1234 has already answered them.
