Scrolling VS HotKey

So, many people argue about which is the better was of using your inventory. Some scroll, some use hot-keys. I just wanted to hear out other's opinions and talk about the pros and cons of scrolling/hot-keying.

Hotkeys

Pros
-quicker access to weapons and food
-makes fingers quicker
-more control and less chance of messing up

Cons
-only really accesses 1-4 or even 1-5
-can't strafe and switch
-may need to adjust toggle perspective key and sprint key
-finger stretching

Scroll

Pros
-can access every button (1-9)
-barely any stretching

Cons
-takes more practice
-has larger chance of messing up scroll
-tougher to use mid-fight (taking fingers off the clicking buttons)




Overall I use Hotkeys for 1-4 and Scroll for the rest

I find it easy to hotkey every number, and easy to strafe.

I use both, they're both really useful. I use the HotKey '1' and that's all. That's just to switch to my sword really quick. Oh, and as well as '3' for my bow. But now as for the question is self which is I suppose; " Which is better?" I'll have to say HotKeys, but yanno; everyone uses what's best for them

Scrolling, even though the two don't make a difference in a fight except hot keys you can spam your rod more (that's not a good thing in my opinion). Scrolling (if it makes any difference) can you have full ability of wasd in a fight. This can lead to strafe's that an opponent is not used to.

Ok, so I always had my Gapples on my 5 slot and ALOT of peopel do. I changed to having them in my 9 slot so I can just scroll to them and now my arrows go to my 5 slot.
