Voting System

Look at the voting these days, I see holiday getting 1 vote, valley side 4 votes and they lose most votes but the new voting system allows them maps to be played and they (to me) always get chosen, lucky I don't know but it's starting to annoy me, hence why I made this thread

I disagree, I have played so many of the 'over played' maps and never have the chance to play the maps I love such as Remnant, but look thanks for your opinion!

With raffle voting, you will be able to play your favorite maps like Remnant more than with the old voting system, because even if you are the only one that votes for it, it could still be played, whereas with the other system, it is highly unlikely that it will get played with only 1 vote.

And I don't always play Holiday Resort when it's there, but you can always just leave and join a new lobby. Anyway, with the old voting system, all we'll play is Holiday Resort, Valleyside, and SG4 most of the time, so that won't really fix your problem.

Sorry but I disagree, since the new voting, not been able to play the map once, Eye of Horus know the map creators, good friends and I vote for the map everytime still never have played it and most the time it has the most votes as I am diamond donor butapd like holiday get chosen

Raffle voting is horrible. I never get to play the maps I like due to popularly disliked maps winning with little chance. It's majority for a reason, more people want to play a map than another map. I hope raffle voting isn't reinstated into the MCSG servers.

Well, you would play it even less if we go back. Think about it, if Eye of Horus gets 1 vote and Valleyside gets 4, with the old system Eye of Horus won't be played. No question. However, with raffle voting, if Eye of Horus gets 1 vote and Vallyeside gets 3, there is a 25% chance of Eye of Horus getting played. With raffle voting, there is a slight chance of it getting played. With the old system, it won't be played. I don't know about you, but I'd rather have a 25% chance towards my map getting played than a 0% chance.

No but your not getting it, Eye of Horus wins but a map with 1 vote will be played when trgw map I vote would have 10 votes

I think this is what needs to be done. We remove all the super underplayed maps, add more maps that are amazing but have not been added yet for some reason, and keep the new voting system.

The problem in the argument of people that don't like the new maps is that they're constantly going on about how they "never" get to play the mapswith more votes any more, which is just downright untrue. If a map has 90% of the votes, it has a 90% chance of winning and just because one time you were in a clan war and a map with 3% won doesn't mean that the system "always" chooses unpopular maps. There is no conspiracy in which maps with less votes win, it just happens SOMETIMES.
