As MCSG grows, the amount of players grow. And, of course, the number of hackers grows with it. However, it'd be better to answer the question, "Are there more hackers per game than before?" And the answer would be, most likely, yes. There are more hacks being released, and more people who've played Minecraft for a long time are getting used to seeing hacks, and even using them in some cases, plus there are new players who use hacks as well, compared to when there weren't.
Yeah, I see. Also, as long as servers exist, there will never be no hackers. The amount will, constantly, be growing as the community grow, like you said. :( It's really sad for the non-hacking players though.

Hackers are on the increase everywhere, and it's pretty hard to stop. Obviously, the makers of hacked clients aren't going to be giving us ways to detect it (although it was very kind of the Damage Indicators creator to do so). All we can do is work together as a community to record every single hacker, and ensure that they are punished.
Agreed.

I am slightly confused why hacking does not constitute a permanent ban, as it does on nearly all other servers. I am not arguing with the system, I would just like to know the reasoning behind it.

From what I've read previously, a player must be given a chance to be able to enjoy the MCGamer server again. Also, if a player is banned permanently, unfair bans may not be given a chance to be corrected. I think a specific amount of time is enough to teach a player the lesson they needed. From what I have also read, there ARE people getting permanent bans while others get temporary bans.

That is what I have read as well. Thank you for clarifying, as I assume the length of ban depends on the severity of the hacks.

This post should be closed, there are enough the same exact this.

IMMA MAKE A POST OF PPL COMPLAINING OF PPL THAT COMPLAINS OF HACKS

This is a never-ending circle, don't complain of anything if u dont want other ppl to complain, cause ur complaints may be annoying too (they are).

The root of the problem that should be destroied are the hackers; and the staff should realise that, though they banning system is good, they have to think about something else; as hackers change, anti-hackers systems must change.
Umma make a thread complaining about the people who complain about the people that complain about hackers. Get up on dat level m8

Being a developer, I know the amount of stress the MCGamer developers are going through. You have no idea how hard it is to create an anticheat plugin. No idea. Its illegal to go into the player's .minecraft and check for hacks. To check for hacks (lets say speed/boost hacks). For every movement a player does you have to check the speed, if the speed is faster then 10block/second, get the name, kick the player, record the kick in the ban/kick tracker blah blah blah. That code alone would be buggy itself because what if you are hit forward and get boosted to the speed 10blocks/second? Oh, then you too would be kicked. Then we have to track how long they have been going that speed, height, location. That in itself would take days and longer to bug fix. It would take more time then it would save. I know that you didnt know this. 100%. Please realize how much time this would take, and how buggy it would be. Then we have you and the rest of the tributes who complain about the buggy-ness. IT IS JUST TOO MUCH WORK FOR THE TIME BEING SAVED. /rantoff

Just curious... because I have been told this by numerous devs.... but what law makes it illegal to check a players client for hacks?

I don't see why you can not include something in the terms of service that says something like by joing the mcgamer network you agree to allow MCgamer to verify your minecraft client is free of hacks,... or something along those lines.

I see this being a far easier solution that would improve everyone gameplay.

Country law states that once logged into the internet and or you are using it the service provider cannot go into your computer an access files, with the exception of Cookies.

Its illegal, we cant do it.
