Hackers are a definite problem. There are lots of them, and lots of servers they could be on. Help from the community is key in handling hackers, because moderators can't be everywhere at once.
Recording hackers can sometimes be confusing, and to hopefully make recording them easier, and viewing the evidence a bit easier for moderators as well, I made this thread.
If you have any further questions regarding anything, feel free to let me know!

When recording hackers, it's best to have 'Quake Pro' disabled.
Quake Pro can make anyone look like a hacker due to it's field of vision, and it makes evidence easier to view properly if it's disabled
Record in Spectator Mode
Recording in spectator mode greatly helps with both the validity of the evidence, as well as the perspectives you are able to give. If you're recording as a player, the recording is often too close up, or far away. It's also difficult to see the possible hacker if you're running away, even if it's in f5.
Use '/spec'
'/spec' is incredibly useful in finding a prospective hacker, if you've lost site of them. Using the 'punch method' can take a while, and is often fairly confusing for the moderator viewing the footage
Post the video as 'unlisted' to YouTube
Posting your hacker footage as unlisted to YouTube is a definite help to the staff, as it leaves the evidence unavailable to anyone who doesn't have the link, which is preferred
Try to upload videos in 720-1080p
Higher quality videos are incredibly helpful in picking out smaller details when detecting hacks. It's much more convenient to view 720p+ videos, however it's understandable that some people are unable to upload in that quality, so it's not too big of a deal
(a minimum of 480p is much appreciated, though )

x Don't edit the recorded footage
Editing the recorded footage (slowing it down, speeding it up, etc.) will 'disqualify' the evidence. Unless there is a normal clip located somewhere within the video, moderators are unable to use any evidence that has been edited against players, so it's best to just give us the raw footage
x Avoid typing in chat + Tabbing out
Typing in chat, and tabbing out are totally normal, and totally fine, but it may interfere with evidence, or distract from it, so it's preferred for it to be avoided
x Avoid Recording in 'F1'
Recording in F1 takes removes the overhead names, which can make it hard to tell who's who, and if the entire video is in F1, it makes it difficult to tell who the hacker actually is (IGN).

The next part I was going to go over was the angles and perspectives of recording, so I figured the best way to do so was to make some examples, so here are some quick example videos

So now that you've recorded a hacker- what do you do with it?
Simply file a Report Abuse!
The 'Report Abuse' forum can be found here, and the template to use can be found here
A moderator will deal with your report as soon as possible

Thank you so much for reading! Hopefully this was able to help out a bit in the whole 'recording' department
Feel free to contact me, or other staff members with any further questions
Thank you all in advance for helping the moderators by recording hackers! As I'm sure you know, moderators can't be everywhere at once, and your help in doing so is much appreciated
