Disagree with you. The highest voting map was voted HIGHEST FOR A REASON! THATS BECAUSE TGE MAJORITY OF THE PEOPLE IN THAT GAME WANTED IT!!!!
Calm it down lol. Caps doesn't help you prove a point.
If the majority of people want to play that map then let them, people don't wan't to waste time playing a map such as fallen colossi which had 1 vote.
1 person did.

Also, the other voting system doesn't necessarily require a majority- a map can win with 20% of the vote.

Yea, so that's why they get to play the map, which they voted for, most of the time compared to the map with only 1 vote. This is actually the most fair way of voting there could possible be. As everyone has a chance to play the map they want, but the one which the majority voted for will have a much greater chance of being picked.

1 person compared to the rest of the lobby, majority rules. It's like electing a new president/prime-minister (wherever you are in the world), there isn't some random chance that they win. There are honestly a ton of other examples, and I'm not comparing the importance of those to that of MCSG, I'm merely saying that majority should rule and that it shouldn't be based off a lucky chance.

Majority rules the majority of the time.

A similar concept is used in some other political systems, such as in the UK where the proportion of votes determines the number of the 650 seats a party holds in the House of Commons, where laws are passed. I also don't really like the PM analogy. While I agree that a one-off type event like the election of a leader shouldn't be random, but this isn't a one-off event. Thousands of SG games are played each day, and the probabilities inevitably even out. In a day in which 1000 games had a map with 20% of the vote, the expected number of times for it to win would be 200. What I'm trying to say is that while raffle voting may on the surface seem random, it's actually a very calculated way making sure that everyone's voted counts more or less equally.

People should stop complaining about the raffle votes. The only reason why they hate it is because they dont get what they want. I feel that is gives all maps a chance of getting picked and it gives more people an opinion. Please change it back.
