I got around 40-60, but I changed a lot of things to fast and put my render distance to Normal, and I consistently get 60 fps now.

I don't use optifine, I normally get 150-250 fps on far. Lowest I ever get is around 80.

Honestly, after about 60 or 70 frames per second you really can't tell the difference. 100 frames and 300 frames are very similar.

I'd suggest grabbing the mod "optifine" if you haven't already. I'm sure you've heard of it a million times - if you correctly optimize it, it can increase your FPS tenfold.

Agred, i used to get around 9-15 fps on most maps, but when i intaled optifine, it boosted it to 35-40 fps, with that i have been able to score myself 2 wins in the 3 days I have had it (not the best player ever, so thats an accomplishment for me ), and i get around 3-6 kills every other game usualy now, so I HIGHLY recoment optifine for players with not-so gaming computers.

using optifine with stable fps, i get anywhere from 65-85 average fps on short render distance.
