If it is a click macro (to click a couple hundred times in a second), then it is illegal, but otherwise it is perfectly legal. I know many mods use them to more easily reprimand and warn people (e.g. 'Please keep language PG-13 or below. Any further violations will result in a kick' could be tied to a single button).

what i'm talking about is for example using macro keys to say w so you can basically sprint uninterupted in combat?
