Contacting Staff Members

Lately, there has been a rise in incorrect ways to contact Staff Members, whether this be by posting on Senior Staff member’s profiles, or posting in the wrong section of the forums. This is a guide on how to contact them correctly.

In this guide, I will be presenting the correct ways to contact members of the Staff, the order of the guide will go as so forth;

  • Contacting Moderators
  • Contacting Sr. Moderators
  • Contacting Admins/Developers

Contacting Moderators

In this section of the guide we will be over-viewing how to contact a Moderator regarding these instances;

  • Regarding Hackers [INGAME]
  • Getting your donor-rank on TeamSpeak
  • Asking to see your ban evidence
  • Contacting clan staff
  • Forums

Regarding Hackers

If you are in-game and you spot a hacker on any of our servers. We have many ways of reporting them. Either by using our /report feature, finding a Moderator in-game or jumping on TeamSpeak and poking one of us.

Using the /report feature;

1. Upon spotting a hacker, we’d strongly advise you to report them in-game so it takes minimal time out of your playing-time, you can report the ‘Hacker’ by typing /report

2. Once typing /report, a list of offences will pop-up, it will look something like this:

Following this, you must type (as it states) /report (player name) (6) (Hacking), for example it should look like this: /report H4CK3r 6 Hacking. Once you have done this, the report will be sent straight to us and one of our Moderators will deal with it.

Finding a Moderator in-game;

This way of reporting a user is also really fast, but not as sufficient as the /report feature. This way of reporting a Hacker is very self-explanatory. As soon as you find a Hacker, we’d advise you to go and find a Moderator, you remember that there are Moderators in HUB, so you /hub. Upon going to the hub we’d like you to keep your report appropriate and professional. Here is an example of an ideal report ingame to a Moderator; “Hello [Moderator name], [player name] is hacking in [server number]”. When typed, it should look like this; “Hello OhFancy, randomname321 is Hacking in SG/BG1144, can you come watch?”

NOTE: If you cannot find a Moderator in-game, do not fear, /report and TeamSpeak are here! That brings me onto the next way of reporting a Hacker!

Reporting a Hacker on TeamSpeak:

Regarding reporting a Hacker to a Moderator on TeamSpeak, upon joining the TeamSpeak server, we’d highly recommend you look at the ‘Staff Available [Poke If Needed]’ channel. If a Moderator is in the channel it should look something like this:

As you can see, in the ‘Staff Available [Poke if Needed]’ channel, you can see OhFancy’s name. This means that he is open and free to be poked with any questions/reports. Proceeding from there, you should poke the Moderator, by right clicking his name and clicking ‘Poke Client’. Your poke should contain the following; [player name] [region] [server number] [reason].

Getting your donorship on TeamSpeak:

Upon purchasing your donor rank, you can also get your TeamSpeak rank (Gold, Diamond, Platinum) on your TeamSpeak identity too! All you have to do is poke a Moderator on our TeamSpeak asking for your donor rank on the TeamSpeak. The Moderator should respond with a message similar to this: “May you please give me your IGN, and come onto [Region] HUB”. Please continue to follow what the Moderator has instructed. When the Moderator has seen proof of your rank, you should receive the rank on TeamSpeak.

Requesting to see your ban evidence:

We are open to allow anyone to see their ban evidence, contacting a Moderator about this is very easy. We encourage you to jump onto the MCGamer TeamSpeak (ts.mcgamer.net) and poke a member of the Staff team. From there the Moderator should move you into a Meeting Room channel and give you your evidence.

Note: We do not unban anyone after letting you see your evidence. All we can do is encourage you to post a ban dispute.

Contacting Clan Staff:

With problems revolving around clan battles, and clan’s themselves, we’d highly recommend you take a visit to our platforms (IN-GAME, Forums, TeamSpeak). A full guide on how to do this can be found here (big thanks to Braden for making this guide): Getting in contact with Clan Staff

Getting in contact with a Moderator over the Forums:

Getting in touch with a Moderator over the forums is surprisingly easy. It involves clicking a couple of buttons and typing some words. We have a variety of Moderators that are active on the forums. Just look for the red names in the ‘Member Online Now’ bar. To get in contact with a Moderator over the forums, you need to create a conversation with one first. To learn how to start a conversation with a user over our forums, visit jtmboy ’s guide for the forums, this guide can be found here: A Guide For Forum Newbies. When finished with creating your conversation with the Moderator, it should look relatively like this:

Once you have finished describing what you need help with, click ‘Start a Conversation’ and it should send to the Moderator you have chosen.

Contacting Senior Moderators

In this section of the guide we will be going over how to contact Senior Staff for:

  • Ban Disputes
  • Moderator application
  • Emailing

Ban Disputes:

When posting a Ban dispute the ideal outcome anyone wants is to be unbanned, but that cannot always happen. When a ban get’s ‘upheld’ it means your ban will still remain. Following you ban dispute being upheld, the Senior Mod should provide a reason, but if you don’t really understand what they mean or if you have any questions, this is how you should contact them.

  • TeamSpeak
  • Forums
  • Emailing

TeamSpeak:

When contacting a Senior Moderator regarding your ban or dispute, we strongly encourage you to jump on TeamSpeak to discuss it with a Senior Staff member. Following yourself joining the TeamSpeak, you may poke a Senior Mod or Moderator, the ideal poke should look something like this: “May I speak to a Senior Mod regarding my ban?”. A Senior Mod should move you up shortly and from there you can continue to ask ANY questions you want (revolving around the dispute). The Senior Mod should answer them.

Forums:

This process is discouraged due to it being the slowest way to find an answer to your question. When starting a conversation with a Senior Mod, it should be professional and grammatically correct. The wrong way to ask a Senior Moderator about your dispute: “Yoooo, why did you uphold my ban, I am innocent and deserve to get unbanned! Stupid Senior Mod.” The correct way to ask a Senior Moderator about your dispute: “Greetings [player named], I have some confusion as to why my dispute was upheld, can you please clarify it? Thanks!

Regarding Moderator Applications:

TeamSpeak:

This process can be used for different stages of the Moderator Application process. If you get declined upfront, at pending, or even when being declined in the interview, you can still ask the Senior Moderator why you were declined. Normally you should receive a reply to your application with the reason to why you were declined. But in the case that you want to speak to a Senior Mod, please message them on TeamSpeak and they should move you up into a Meeting room.

Emailing:

If you need to contact an Admin, Senior Moderator or Developer, you can use these emails below to do so:

Admins:

AlpakaWhacker: [email protected]

CAmadeusA: [email protected]

razzledgirl: [email protected]

Senior Moderators:

KellieBreanne: [email protected]

mfungamer: [email protected]

(Currently, Kellie and mfun are the only two Senior Moderators who have MCGamer official emails. If you need to contact another Sr. Mod, it is recommended you do so via the forums or Teamspeak)
