Help with new headset.

Basically, I got a headset with my mic because I used the mic built into my laptop. It was horrible.

I got the headset, but only sounds from applications like TeamSpeak, Skype, etc come through it. Sounds from YouTube, Minecraft, stuff like that, come through my speakers. Anybody know how I can fix that?

Go to control panel, sound and do 3 more clicks...

All you need to do is to set the headphones as primary device....

And where do you do that in sound? I'm a computer noob, sorry.
