Diamond boots are illegal?

So I was wearing diamond boots in a game, and JacksonReaction came in the room and forced me to burn them, what the hell is this? I see people wearing diamond boots all the time, granted they get enough diamonds to create them, why did I have to burn mine? that's ridiculous.

It's the staff member in the wrong here; to my understanding, the only items you aren't allowed to have are items from item frames (like the potions on Eye of Horus).
Heck, I've even gotten a diamond chestplate. If you go to the lengths to accumulate enough diamonds to craft diamond armour pieces, you should be allowed to use them. It's the same way people craft golden apples, golden carrots and better swords. Nothing against that.

Are you referring to the diamond boots on Origins? If so, that is considered not allowed.
As well, it's not necessary to use that language + publicly call someone out. Perhaps inbox them and maturely discuss this situation.

Diamond boots if crafted are allowed. If they are obtained through a chest or dispenser, they are considered an OP item, thus not allowed. QA;TL
