Hey!

I've tried searching for an already built computer that can run shaders at around 30-60fps fluently with no luck so I turn to the community of mcsg since I know lots of people on the server use shaders. The computer I have now is a HP laptop that runs shaders at around 15-30fps. If it wasnt for the extremely unstable fps I wouldn't be considering buying a new computer. Im really a big noob at everything about computers so there's no chance I'll be able to build one myself. I also don't know anyone who can build one so that's out of question :p

Will something like this cut it? http://www.inet.se/produkt/1517092/taurus-experienced-gtx-660

I'm searching for something around the 1500-1700 dollar price range. I also prefer Intel and Nvidia.

Thanks for reading this! I appreciate it.

Kind regards, L22

Yes, that would work but you will need to get a new HARDDRIVE seeing tha it can only run 15-30fps with shaders eaither get a intel SSD card of 160gb or 3tb HARDDRIVE they will both work but highly recommend the SSD drive and is much cheaper, will make your computer run allot faster.

I can give you a quote? :) You may have to build the PC yourself though, I hope that isn't' any trouble, if it is it's only like 100 bucks to get it built for you.
Edit: It's cheaper to by a computer via the parts.

I'm gonna like basically build a computer for L22 and link him all the parts, he can therefore buy the parts if he likes and then build it xD
It'll take me like an hour to get all the parts that will work together and to find them for the cheapest price.
It's up to him if he wants me to though..
Edit: Honestly though, for the price this would be the most decent. http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php...=24972&zenid=302da989823fd0ed0b0b86b6ec97720e.
Then replace the i5 with this. http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=187_1490&products_id=23497

Edit: wait you wanted a desktop? I'll look at some and get back to you.

I'm here! I would have been here sooner, but I had AP Physics.

OK so good choice wanting to go with Intel+Nvidia. AMD cards are good for games, but those are better for power users running high end apps. (Adobe suite, etc.)

This is the laptop I've been recommending people.

I've used the Y510 in real life and know a few people that have it. And it's pretty good.
I recommend the Y510, the 410 would be good, but at that small price difference, the upgrade is worth it.

I'm going to go look at some of the Gigabyte laptops I've been hearing about and give you a better answer in a bit.

Hey! Sorry for not replying, I've been out of town.

I really appreciate all the answers, some really good suggestions too! The stainless steel desktop Mooshman linked must be the best looking computer I've ever seen! Also the MSI laptop that was linked earlier was reaaal smexy. I forgot to mention that I'm only interested in desktops. I was searching for a laptop earlier but I quickly noticed it would get very expensive. I've also heard it is much harder to change laptops components if one would like an upgrade. Someone also said something about needing to get an SSD, I googled what an ssd is but I don't understand how that would raise my fps, could someone please explain? I don't need much harddrive space, I have 500gb internal on my current computer and an Western Digital elements 1000gb hard drive wich is more than enough for me. So if an ssd is only used to what it sounds like I dont see the point of spending so much money for 120gb or am I totally missing something?

Regards, L22
